Hi Wow Families,
Mark your calendars for February 9th. We are having a double
fundraiser at McAllister’s restaurant (across the street from
the college). For anyone who orders food between 5:30p and 8:30p
and mentions they are with WOW, McAllister’s will donate 10%
of the proceeds back to the swim team. In addition, Initials Inc.
will be there selling items with 15% of the proceeds going to the
swim team as well. So, tell your friends and neighbors to come out
to McAllister’s and support WOW swimming!
Just a gentle reminder that we are
trying to ramp up the Great Lakes Scrip program to raise funds for
our team. Ordering is very simple. Go to the team website and click
on the tab for the Scrip order form. Print it off. Fill it out.
Write a check. Then put the order form and check in the WOW box.
Done. You’ve raised money for the team buying gift cards to
places you’re going to spend money anyway. (Hint: They have
Visa cards that are perfect to send with swimmers to away meets so
they don’t have to carry cash.)
You
can even go to the Great Lake Scrip website, www.GLScrip.com, and find 100’s
more gift cards to purchase and just write them in the blanks at
the bottom of the form.
We
want to put in one order at the end of each month to reduce
shipping costs so please have your order in the WOW box by Tuesday,
February 2nd. GREAT for Valentines Day gifts!
